Round robin generator

Everyone plays everyone. Draw random teams below, then open Rotasquad to get the full round-robin schedule, spread across your courts, with live standings.

How a round robin works

In a round robin every team plays every other team once. With 6 teams that is 15 matches over 5 rounds; with 8 teams, 28 matches over 7 rounds. With an odd number of teams one team rests (a bye) each round, and every team gets exactly one bye.

  • 4 teams: 6 matches, 3 rounds
  • 5 teams: 10 matches, 5 rounds with a bye
  • 6 teams: 15 matches, 5 rounds
  • 8 teams: 28 matches, 7 rounds

From names to schedule

Use the generator above to draw the teams. In Rotasquad, Tournament mode does the whole job: it builds teams (balanced by skill if you rate players), creates the round-robin using the circle method, schedules each round across the courts you have, and updates the standings as you enter scores.

Works for any sport

Padel and tennis doubles, pickleball, five-a-side, table tennis singles, esports and anything else you add as a custom game. Draws are allowed for sports that have them.
